A proxy server is system that hides the identuty of the other computers on its network. Which means that only the information of proxy server is available to world not yours own. Notepad has always been my favorite tool ever. As a developer I work with so many bulky softwares like dreamweaver, php designer which come with hell lot of features. But, I have always loved the simplicity of Microsoft’s Notepad. It’s simple, small, sweet and handy. So, here I am featuring some cool Notepad tricks and tips.
Using notepad as a log book
open notepad write .LOG in the first line, save the file and close it. Open the file again, here you will see the current date and time on it. Save again and close it. Everytime you open this file the file will have a timestamp along with text on it. This cool notepad trick can be used to make daily notes or can be used as a diary also. You can even press F5 to get the current date and time anywhere between the text.
Change header and footer
Want to get rid of default page header oand footer in notepad. To do this click on file -> page setup, remove the characters in the header and footer textboxes and write whatever you want.
Changing the font
You can change the font in the notepad by clicking Format -> Font, but all the text will be in the same font always.

Fuzzy Search
Fuzzy search is type of search made by fuzzy matching. Google returns the results for even the relevent keywords for your query. For example when you search for ~music player, the google search also look for keywords like mp3 music, radio etc. etc. Isn’t is a cool google trick.
Number range
If the thing you are searching for has something to do with numbers or number range, theen this google trick is just right for you. If you want to search for a music player having memory between 10 to 30 gb then search for this query “mp3 player 10..30 GB” The results will show you the information about mp3 players having memory betwen 10 to 30 GB.
Wild card search : When you place a wildcard character * in your query, google will try to replace that * with the keywords that are relevent to the query. For example try searching for “google * tricks”.
Page title search
The page title is the single most part of the page. The title depicts the content. You can search only in page titles using allintitle: before the query. Try searching for “allintitle:tricks”. This query will return all the pages having the tricks keyword n their title.
Google Calculator
Just enter the expression in the google search box and press enter, the next page will show the result of that expression. Try searching for 5+2*2 and see the result.

We all love Gtalk because of its simple and clean looks, though it does not have all those crappy features that other IM clients feel proud upon. You must have got tired of default yahoo messenger skin, yes me too got tired. Now you can make your messenger look like gtalk by installing yahoo messenger version of gtalk theme. This skin does not any add any new features in your messenger but it does make it look clean and beautiful.
Installation Instructions:
1. Extract everything from the arhive to your Desktop.
2. Move extracted folder to C:\Program
Files\Yahoo!\Shared\Graphics ( this is the default installation folder)
Activating the skin:
1. open main Yahoo! Messenger window.
2. Click Messenger > Change Skin…
3. Select Google Talk from the dropdown menu.
4. Click OK and you are done.
Activation of the skin may depend upon the version of yahoo messenger you are using. I am using version 7 and it is working perfectly.
For low speed connections logging in to orkut or gmail could becomes an irritating task. You must have experienced gmail login problem especially on a dial up connection. Login in to gmail is comparatively slower because of its rich user interface, because of that sometimes the gmail login screens gives an error. And in orkut also sometimes the login box does not appears and says “connection timed out” or “server not responding” kind of messages.
