Find File Extensions

Filestuff provides information of almost every file extension that you can think of and that you can’t. I found this site while random stumbling today. It is a great resource for techies. Filestuff has information on over 5000 file extensions, and the number is increasing day by day. You can use this site to find out which application a particular file type belongs to or to find out the default file extensions used by specific software. To do this you just need to enter the name of your software and click the find button, it will show the default file extensions used for that particular software.
If you feel like you can contribute to this project, you can add file extensions by giving a brief explanation of that extension. The database is updated everyday. You can even subscribe to their mailing list so that new and updated stuff reaches directly in your inbox. The service looks quite promising to me. Stay tuned for some more cool new services ..
